First of all, sorry for the absence. Switching to self-employment proved to be a lot more work than I thought, and I guess it not over yet. But the biggest challenge was to switch from shooting the outfits I wore to work to being creative and have all the time in the world. All of the sudden I got struck by a "writers block" (or the "outfit block" should I say). When you have no boundaries, it's like trying to park at a completely empty parking garage. Which place should I take? This one? Or maybe that one??
But then I realized, that I have to start somewhere. As simple as that. Just start, and with time I will pick up the direction I'm going to with my style. So I did.
The coat is what Zara called a "cape coat", but a more comfortable version than a classic cape coat. The classic ones, where you keep your arms inside and have two holes instead of sleeves always seemed a bit weird to me, but this one is just perfect. Casual, easy wear, snuggy coat, but yet rock-ish enough to find it's place in my wardrobe.
The boots (also from Zara) are one of my favorite shoe purchase so far, quite comfy and really cool! They're considered to be "influenced" by the Givenchy over knee fold boots, but I'm convinced that they're the high-street version of my ultimate dream-boots - Balenciaga Astrogirl. And nothing will move me from it! :)
Anyway, I know everyone already wore the Givenchy boots with pleated skater skirts and I love the look, but I never wear this type of skirts myself. So I went for the H&M burgundy mini, almost completely covered by Mango sweater I got last year. This sweater is what I call an "itchy torture" because it pricks so terribly. But believe me, when it's cold outside - I rich out for this babe, itchy or not itchy.
