Being a blogger means taking outfit photos.
(Duh. Now after I already wrote this, I feel like Captain Obvious. But lets move on...)
This means we should be creative in our outfits, otherwise our readers will be bored to death. In the winter it means that we have to take photos of what is *under* our coats and parkas - otherwise for 3 month you will see only "a coat with this" or "a parka with that" outfits.
Actually, I was very happy that the spring showed up in Holland a week ago, so I rushed outside to shoot a couple of spring-ish outfits. But I wasn't the last to laugh this time - because the winter decided to show who's the boss and it's freezing again now. I already got my neck and shoulder frozen and completely stiff for the last 2 days, so I don't want to take risks that come with shooting half naked outside.
So I thought, what do I *actually* wear during these cold days? So here's the truth. Puff coat, angora scarf, H&M melange jumper, Sacha pistol boots, studded gloves. To make the fashion junkie in me happy I wore the monochrome H&M necklace and took the clear PVC Rocco. You know, just to make this "I'm so cold, I'm so damn cold!" outfit a bit more fun.
So , people, this outfit is not solely made for a photo shoot, but this is what I actually wore today for some errands in The Hague. This coat is just like a puff blanket - so warm!
Btw I still wonder.. do the bloggers who shoot outfits wearing a light coat and bare ankles in a snow storm actually wear them for hours and hence they're frost-resistant super-heroes or they change/add layers right after the camera lens get covered?
P.S. As I wrote in my last post, we're having an anniversary tomorrow, and I will have to wear a weather inappropriate dress and shoes. So I guess it makes all my rants about weather and bloggers a pure nonsense! My excuse - we're not going far away, but just around the corner to the nearest sushi bar.
Oh, how expected! We celebrate everything with sushi, Sushi Monsters as we are.
Anyhow, I promise to show you the goth-an-punk-are-having-a-Valentines-day outfit, maybe even tomorrow night, if we're not too tired (from chewing). I might have time for a post because we're going to the sushi place at noon. Do you really think we can wait any longer? :)
