I'm sure you already heard about this trend, it's been mentioned here and there for a while now.
I'm a huge fan of metallic color, either coating or jewelry. But this holographic / iridescent thing is just amazeballs!
I think I'm becoming a huge fan, and an anxious one, as the holographic items are almost impossible to buy for a girl with small budget as myself, AND because (unless you're a quick shopper, which I'm not) whatever items were available are already sold out in most sizes (I'm looking at you, Stella McCartney's holographic pumps). There's another version available on Matchesfashion - by Gianvito Rossi, see if you're lucky and your size is available or on a waiting list. Cause mine is (surprise surprise!) sold out.
Just as I was writing these words, I found out Forever 21 sells holographic pointed pumps!
My husband will have to forgive me as I let out a scream of joy when I saw them and scared the ** out of him. But he knows me too well, so one glance on my computer screen and he said - oh, THESE pumps! Yes, I said, quickly clicking them into my shopping bag. They're on their way to me as we speak.
The pumps available in 3 different hues, gunmetal, rose and silver. I got the silver ones.
I hope more holographic items will become available later on, but we all want to be first, right?
So what can Hologram lovers do now, except of buying Forever 21 shoes?
Well, I spent considerable amount of time trying to locate holographic leather for a DIY clutch project, without success. I'm thinking of maybe use this DIY idea by P.S. I made this.. but anyhow, my wardrobe needs more than one holographic item.
