Shoes Review - Ash Funky Curved Wedge sneakers (snake)

Say hello to these beauties!

I was writing about these sneakers and posting them all over the place for the post 2 month or so, while I was waiting for the funds to appear. Luckily, the Funky wedge sneakers by Ash were patiently waiting for me, so I could hold them in my arms wear them on my feet some day. The day has come, and here they are, and I can call them mine!
Since I already wore them for a long stroll in the city (did I say Spring has come?), I can tell you everything about these shoes in a form of a Shoes Review.

OVERALL LOOK - The Funky wedge sneakers look somewhat different from the usual wedge sneakers we saw everywhere in the past year or two. They look more like real high tops than any other kicks I ever saw. That look is what got me sold - I'm not fond of Isabel Marant-ish concealed wedges, I like them either visible or like on these ones. In my eyes, they look more sporty than the laid-back Marant version.
In person, the wedge is more visible than on the shop photos, but I still love them a lot.
The tongue is long just like I pictured it in my mind when I thought of ideal high tops.
Big ASH logos are embossed on the tongues and back side of the shoes, but they're not over the top, I actually like them a lot.

SIZING - on Shopbop.com I saw reviews that said to go a size up. I disagree, as I got my usual size 39 and these sneakers where a tad roomy, so if I went a size up, I'd swim in them. I don't mind the extra space though, I wouldn't want a wedge shoe I intend for walking to be too tight.

COMFORT - very comfortable! Of course they're not flat shoes - I did feel the wedge after walking for a couple of hours, but it's understandable. My other wedge sneakers are a bit more difficult to walk in, so I'm more than happy.

MATERIAL - suede, snake printed leather, Velcro strap, mesh panels, rubber sole. Note that the mesh details are see through - it got me doubting for a while, as I was afraid they won't last long with intense wear I intend to give these shoes. But then I thought it can be very nice to wear them in summer! Well, we'll see how long they will last. The laces are long enough to tie them around the ankle like I did on the photo, but a bit too long for a simple knot.

QUALITY - almost perfect. My pair has a little wrinkle where the snake leather is glued to the wedge and I found the cut on the toe side (visible on the first image) a bit weird, but apart from these two I'm more than happy.

PRICE - 220EU / 275$ / 190£ on Shopbop, Kurt Geiger, Farfetch, Solestruck, Urban Outfitters US, Urban Outfitters UK, Office. Don't forget that shipping from USA to Europe and vise versa means paying import tax.

CONCLUSION - I'm over the roof happy!
