Comfort is sometimes very essential, especially when you're planning a long walk.
What can be better than a pair of trousers, denim shirt and studded sneakers?
(Beware folks, there's a dentist story waiting for you under the jump...)
What we had in mind is a short visit to the dentist (his office is on the other side of the city, so we go there by bus) and then take a long walk home. Last time I was there, the dentist said (again) my last 2 wisdom teeth needed to be pull out, beside filling a small hole. I was like "OMG you must be kidding me, not that wisdom teeth story again, I'm not ever ever ever! gonna let that happen" on the inside, and said "I will ask my insurance whether they'll pay for it and call back. Let's make an appointment for that small hole for now". When I was home, I thought - the wisdom teeth will wait some longer, they were waiting till now, right? So I didn't call back and went there only for the filling.
The dentist was half a way doing his work, when he said (quite casually) - if you choose to pull these wisdom teeth now anyway, you spare yourself a bunch of analgesic injections, since you already got them! What would you do in my place, lying there with your mouth open, hands clinched together, looking up at the torturer? I could only nod.
Anyhow, long minutes later I got out of the office, caught scared looks from the people in the waiting room, picked up my husband.. and we walked home. It's perfect weather outside, and I wanted to get my head clean of all what just happened! We even got to sit in the park with cold tea and ice creams and got me new pair of sandals :)
All's well that ends well!
